Culture, Nature, Sport and Food and Wine for an active holiday

Set between the Po and the Apennines, the province of Piacenza develops in the western extremity of Emilia-Romagna.

Its territory is shaped by the valleys of the Tidone, Trebbia, Nure and Arda rivers, each characterized by particular settings where nature dominates unchallenged among gentle hills dotted with vines, where the view catches sight of the bell towers between towers and perched fortifications. Where the long rows of poplars delineate the plain that plunges into the Po river.

It is in the frame of these natural beauties that the various medieval villages are inserted including Bobbio, Castell'Arquato, Vigoleno, several Abbeys of medieval origin and many Romanesque churches.
But to enrich the charm of this area are certainly our castles, more than 300 among those that can be visited and those used as private homes.
There are also several noble palaces, among which the grandiose Palazzo Farnese in Piacenza dominates the symbol of the ancient Duchy of Parma and Piacenza.

It is a land rich in beauties, valleys and mountains where there are trekking routes, itineraries on horseback, the possibility of canoeing, rafting and educational workshops for children in contact with nature.

This is why a trip to Piacenza and its province will never cease to amaze.
